Hello readers, today I’m here with a fellow numberpup. Fiver, can you tell me a bit about yourself? What do you all like and what kind of kinky things are you into?
Fiver

Canada
I suppose you could describe me as a bit of a sexual tourist… I’m very curious about kinks and love to experience all I can. My philosophy is that life is too short to leave something not done on your bucket list (and that includes your kink bucket list!)
My primary kink is sports gear, specifically ice hockey. I suppose that makes sense considering I’m Canadian 😉. I love other materials too – rubber, leather, neoprene, spandex. I’m in the school of thought that someone’s sexiness can be enhanced with the right gear: a singlet can accentuate a guy’s ass or chest pads can give him a broader, more imposing frame. Gear can unleash some very primal attractions and make you feel sexier.
I’m also a big fan of electro. I love wiring up and triggering my nerves directly, feeling how differently each mode feels and makes my body react.
Also more into the mind realm rather than the physical, I’ve recently started getting into hypno play which is brand new experience and definitely something I want to explore more with.
I definitely agree with you on that. If there’s something that can potentially enrich my life by something interesting, why not try before you die? 🙂
So, was ice hockey your fetish gate entry then so to say? Did you play, are a fan or was it always just the gear that interested you? How did you notice it, and how did you develop afterwards?
By answering this question, I may reveal two facts about me that could somewhat impact the mystique of Fiver! But here goes…
The first fact is that hockey wasn’t my first gear interest! Hard to believe for a hockey pupper like me, eh? When I was in high school and wrapping my head around my sexuality, the jocks in the hallways were from the football team (American football, not soccer). Seeing them, especially during practices and games, really got me going so I started seeking out sites online for sports gear fetishes. The very first piece of kink gear I got was a pair of white Shock Doctor compression shorts from International Male. I still remember the photos of that model 🤤 hahaha
The second shocking fact is that – even as a Canadian – I didn’t play hockey growing up. Truth be told, I didn’t even really care for it 🙈
When I was an adult, the local NHL team did a fairly deep playoff run and I started to get fascinated by the game (and, let’s be honest, the players…)
A friend of mine was doing an adult beginner program which I had no idea existed so I tried it out and fell in love with the game. I’ve been playing ever since!
What does all play into the picture of ice hockey and their and other gear being hot for you? What do you connect a hot piece of gear with?
Haha well it’s not like there’s an obligation you had to be into it, although depending on your location it can sometimes almost feel like one, right? Glad you found joy in it though.
Totally! I think your local environment totally influences your kinks as much as we influence the community around us. It’s give and take.
Personally, ice hockey gear resonates with me because it portrays an image of alpha masculinity. And really good kink, at the core, has a performative element. In that vein, this is a costume.
When you look at a geared up hockey player, his form is massive. His shoulders are broad. His legs are thick. His hands are bulky. The gear itself seems specially designed to accentuate and highlight his shape. The shoulder caps on the chest guards and the bulge of a hard jock cup – it’s almost like when you see a sexy drawing and the artist has exaggerated and enlarged certain aspects of the character – I think gear can do that in real life.
Beyond that, I’d be remiss to not mention the musk angle. Based on the comments on my posts, there’s more than a few pups out there who wanna sniff my bag 😉
For me, the musk that goes with gear is a big draw, especially if it’s the right scent. There can be some that’s too strong or just plain gross but get it right and it’s incredible. Better than poppers. There’s a reason they call it hockey cologne. 😁
I think hockey gear rightly has a reputation worldwide for being especially musky.
Mine, by the way, smells friggin awesome, just sayin’ 😈
Oh I absolutely agree 😉 A really good sporty sweaty smell can make me go almost madly horny and humping. 😉
And I love that image you described of an exxagerated drawing. It makes me want to ask though, do costumes and cosplay, as they want to achieve to bring drawing into reality, also go into the gear category for you? And do some have a similar effect on you?
I’ve always been fascinated by cosplay and furries and other forms of roleplay and their relationship to kink and sexuality.
I think a person’s kink identity in those forms can (but doesn’t always) reflect deep seated desires and values about their sexuality, and that’s always fascinating to see manifested.
For example, some people really get into an anonymized identity – such as gimps and drones. And they’ll be strongly drawn to the notion of losing their human identity so they can more comfortably focus on their sexual identity.
Their gear allows them to more fully explore that aspect of their sexuality.
For me, I went through school being the opposite of a jock. In a sense, Fiver is a costume that lets me explore an identity I was really drawn to but wasn’t able to experience when I was younger:
A confident (possibly too cocky 😜) jock who is outgoing and adventurous in his sexual expression.
The persona lets me live that out and it’s very freeing and exciting.
I agree, when doing interviews I tend to get the privilege to hear of such reflections. They’re always fascinating in their similarities and differences to each other, and often also let me learn a lot from them about myself too. But back to the topic. Do you think that Jock-Fiver also rubbed into the everyday-normal-life-Fiver? How so if, and how much do you like to let things connect or keep separate?
I did a public lecture about pups and pup play, and one line I said was that pup hoods provide anonymity but they also provide identity. In that regard, I am really drawn to the fact that my pup hood conceals my real life identity while leaving me identifiable for people in the pup community.
The balance of the two sides is important for me, because I do feel my personal identity and pup identity are separate, distinct personas. I don’t like to have them blend too much.
I had a strange experience when I was arranging giving my hockey teammate a ride to one of our games. He called me by the name Fiver with a wink (so I had to reply with a bark haha). Turns out he discovered my pup identity through a contact sync on Telegram! He also told me that his partner followed me on Twitter and was surprised to learn Fiver was actually me! So you never know what nondescript human you engage with secretly has a pup side!
Hahaha oh wow how the world can be small sometimes. And you’re right, I honestly wouldn’t be suprised if similar thing would happen to me. After all it’s said that over 30% had some latent fetish desires, and in gay circles it’s apparently even more, so the likelyhood is there I’d say.
As you play, I gotta ask: Have you already been able to fulfill the many-dreamed locker room experience? Or is that still far away, or nothing you’d like there? And actually, what fantasies would you love to achieve once?
Hahaha oh man, who doesn’t have a locker room experience on their bucket list?! Something about that just drives me wild…
Unfortunately that remains on the ol’ to-do list for me but it’s definitely something I’m keen to check off… So if anyone has a lead on a locker room we can use, DM me 😄
Beyond that, I’m super excited to hopefully attend my first big gear meetup in February if the world returns to some normalcy. I can’t wait to experience that kind of dynamic, surrounded by fellow gear enthusiasts!
Don’t we all 😉 I think those are some good words to end on. Hope it won’t be the last time though, cause it was a real pleasure to talk to you.
