If you want to start to make specific tools for your toys. etc. to be 3D printed also CAD/3D software like TinkerCAD which is good for beginners. Just create what you want in there, and send your finished model to a 3D printing service company. You’ll have it in the mail soon!

Oh yeah, since we’re on 3D. There’s also another free software called Blender, although that one may take a bit of learning. But you’ve got 2 weeks evenings, and once you get the hang of it, you can create a lot of very cool things. It’s quite addictive 🙂 Or you can also try zbrush.

Btw. There are also drawing tablets you can get for quite cheap nowadays if you want one, starting from 30 bucks (instead of over 100 like they used to). And believe me those small ones are already quite good. Actually, if they’re too large, they can actually hinder you when drawing, as you often have too zoom in for detail work, and then have to draw long lines on the tablet which become more difficult. I recommend the Huion Brand for trying out.

Although you are going to need some programming skills (C#) to create anything in there. But investing in learning those is never a wrong choice in these modern times, and when you’re stuck at home, it’s a good time to do so.
