sadOsam: How long have you already been living out your kinky side and how did you came to that?
Ecstatic Satyr: I started exploring my kinky side just over a year ago. I guess you could say I’m a late bloomer.
Looking back, I realize I always had a dark, kinky side. In college I tried to get my boyfriends to tie me up with a scarf or belt or whatever was lying around… but they weren’t really into it. I also tried watersports a few times, but always hid those kinks from my boyfriends and dates. Something about the BDSM used to scare me. The raw, primal side of it. Ecstatic Satyr: After being repressed for a long time, I feel it’s important to explore different kinks and fetishes in a spirit of openness and fun. So I always just try to enjoy myself to the fullest, but I don’t take myself too seriously.
Mutual respect is also key. It takes a lot of guts to admit to yourself, and then to everybody else, that you’re into something unconventional. We should always honor that. I don’t share a lot of kinks with others, and they don’t share all of mine, but kink shaming and body shaming are hard limits for me. At the end of the day we are all brothers and sisters and should support one another and help each other grow. Overall I do find more camaraderie in the queer BDSM community than the “mainstream gay community”, but there is always room for improvement.
sadOsam: Do you have special sexual and fetish preferences?
Ecstatic Satyr: Rope, rope, and rope. The more the better! I love the versatility and diversity of rope bondage. Loose ties or hard and tight ties. Floor work or suspension. You can tie on a simple cuff or harness for a quick fuck, or you can take your time and create a beautiful work of art with rope wrapped around a human body. I love the smell and feel of rope. I love how a good rigger can communicate tenderness or savageness with just the speed of movement and the tension of the rope. Most of all, I love the skill and creativity that good rope bondage demands. As a sub, a talented rigger can bring me to my knees and instantly pull me into subspace.
