MasterMarc: Hi Antoin. Nice to have you back with us. You arrived after a nice time in Downunder back to London some days ago. Tell us a little about your experiences at Mardi Gras in Sydney and how was the Recon Full Fetish Party?
Antoin: We didn’t do a Full Fetish party in Sydney, but we did sponsor another awesome fetish event. The trip was purely a marketing and promotional campaign. We had an exhibitor booth at Fair Day and got to meet a lot of amazing people. We found a lot of Recon fans Down-Under. Being able to participate in the Mardi Gras parade was truly the highlight of the trip. You’re almost like a superstar. The energy around the entire event is amazing. One thing that will always stand out is the support of the entire city and their being in support of the gay community.
MasterMarc: I see you’ve had a great time there. Hope we will have the summer feeling back soon. If we talk about summer than we have also to talk about the Fetish Week London 2016. What can we expect this year?
Antoin: Summer in Sydney was hotter than I thought – in more ways than one… haha. But it’s great to be back home in London. Over the years, we’ve tried a few things and this year you should expect no different. We are making some changes to the schedule and changing the format of some of the events.
MasterMarc: What would you say will be the highlights this year and have you also some new program points?
Antoin: This year at Fetish Week, we are changing the format of some of the events, adding a double-feature to our film screening event and are also introducing a brand new pup event called “Best In Show”. Our Dinner event returns to the amazing Counter Restaurant in Vauxhall and I’m working with the chef to create another special and sumptuous menu for our official Fetish Week Dinner. We’ve got a few new sponsors on board this year – Spartacus, Barcode Berlin, and CLAW (one of the big fetish events in the US) and we’re hoping to have reps joining us in London. We are aiming to change things around at The Coronet. It’s the last year at the venue before the venue is taken over by developers and we want to go out with a bang!
MasterMarc: How many people do you expect to join you at your events and parties?
Antoin: 2015 we had over 1500 guys at our main Full Fetish event at The Coronet, and I’m sure we are going to top that this year. From the feedback we’ve got about accommodation, we already know that more people will be travelling to London this year.
MasterMarc: I know you and your team are proud of providing very special play areas. Could you tell us a little bit more about the areas of action and lust?
Antoin: The play areas continue to be an area that we want to try and improve. It’s always good to introduce something new so that people don’t always expect the same thing. It’s a bit of a challenge, but we’re up for it. I’ve already got new equipment being built for this year’s event, so we’ve got a few surprises up our sleeve.
MasterMarc: Im sure, the Fetish Week London is again a MUST for fetish guys from all over. Do you have any recommendations about accommodation in London?
Antoin: This is always a tricky one. London isn’t the most affordable city – when it comes to Hotels, but we’ve got a few good recommendations. Around Vauxhall you have the Travelodge, the Holiday Inn Express and the Belgrave Hotel. Mid-range you might look at the Novotel London Waterloo or Premier Inn County Hall. If you want something a little more up-market visitors usually stay at the Park Plaza Riverbank. If you want to stay near the main party venue, I’d always suggest H10 London Waterloo. There are also people that decide to stay in other parts of the city – even around the Soho area. The good thing is, there are lots of transport options for getting around the city.
MasterMarc: Thank you Antoin and see you in London.

#FWL2016 launches with the Fetish Week Screening, and this year we’re bringing you a double-feature at our private screening room in the incredible Soho Hotel, just off Dean Street. Join us there for drinks and socialising before and after the movies.
The two films playing will be Interior. Leather Bar. and Chemsex
Interior. Leather bar. is a documentary that recreates the production of notorious thriller Cruising, highlighting the progression made by LGBT representation in media.
Chemsex focuses on the rise of the party and play lifestyle that has spread across all sections of gay London. Both films offer a frank look on subjects that relate to the modern gay fetish lifestyle.
Feel free to gear up!
