TUTORIAL: Bondage Basics – The Column Tie

Together with THE PUPPETEER we present you some Basic Bondage Know-How. There are many ways to tie someone up, and the easiest among them is probably just with rope. However, when it comes to knots, most lack basic knowledge about them. That’s why we asked one of the greatest bondage experts we know for help. And he’s gonna teach you how it’s done.

The column tie is, simply put, THE bondage tie. You can use it for tying almost any two things together, whether it’s leg to leg, arm to leg, arm to arm, arm to pole … It’s one of the most versatibly usable knots when it comes to bondage. The puppeteer uses them all the time in his works. And once you master it, you can too 😉

Step 1: Split your rope into two parts and take the looped end.

Step 2: Wrap the looped end around the limbs 2 times. Make sure to leave a fingerwidth of space to not cut of blood flow or pinch nerves.

Step 3: Lay the looped end of the rope on top over the others.

Step 4+5: Go with your fingers between the limbs under the rope, grab the looped end, and pull it out the other side. Then tighten it.

Step 6: Take the long end of the rope and wrap it around your finger. Be careful in this step that you do it the right way or your knot might not work well 🙂

Step 7: Place the small/looped end of the rope on top of the long end. Best hold it in place with your thumb to have the other hand free for your next step.

Step 8+9: Go with your free hand through the gap between the two ends (where your index finger is), and pull the looped end through it. Then pull on the two ends to tighten the knot.

Congratulations! You just made a successful Column Tie! You can be finish here, however, if you want to add some extra security, there is an extra step you can do.

Extra Step 1: Wrap the long end around your hand once to make a loop. Then pull the short end with your wrapped hand through this loop. Make sure that the long end is inside the loop when doing this.

Extra Step 2: Thighten it and you’re done! You got your extra secure Column Tie! Now have fun tying up your subs 😉

Hey, I'm Se7en, one of the authors and guys behind sadOsam. I'm an all around kinky puppy that enjoys to explore new things and talk to interesting people. Don't be shy to hit me up if you like, I promise I won't bite. Fair warning though, I'm a slow replier, quite busy on here usually :)
