The gay promotion laws in Russia, the new decision to forbid same-sex-marriage and also the murder of gays in Chechnya shocked me and continue to motivate me to fight against our current regime.
To be honest, sometimes when I talk to people from abroad about such topics, I feel ashamed for my country. It shouldn’t be possible to restrict the freedom of expression and the individual liberty of gays and other people. And the people of Russia are involved in this in some way, because becoming more and more apolitical is like agreeing and opening the gates for our president so that he can do whatever he wants.
Back in the day I first I started to support the protests in social media. I’ve done that for a while, and during this time I’ve had a lot and long talks with my fellow subscribers about the situation in our country, how to support the fight of activists against various votes like the last amendments to the constitution and of course about the crimes of our government.
In summer 2020 I dared to visit a real life meeting of an activist group for the first time. Everyone knows it is dangerous, and I was scared, but I knew that I had to do it. Since then, I’ve been going to almost every anti-lawlessness meeting. As you know in one of them I’ve also got caught by the police and I got a very big fine for it.
Since then, I’ve been going to lots of meetings. And now I’ve also started to think about organizing my own actions and activities, similar to what pussy riot has done some years ago. They inspired me very much with their conscious protests and each of their actions has had a deeper meaning.
Do you want to tell us what kind of own protest are you planning?
So far, I have not fully formed thoughts about them. There are only certain stories, but I will not talk about them yet. To summarize my reasons though: Firstly, they’re not yet something concrete, and secondly, it is very dangerous to talk about it in a chain, because protest, especially for the authorities in Russia, is the most deadly of all sins.
How is the situation for gays in Russia right now?
The situation with LGBT rights in Russia is very deplorable. I am lucky that I live in a large and tolerant city of Russia (St. Petersburg), and the homophobia of society does not limit me much in my self-realization.

But most places in Russia are less like such cities, more like villages, where everyone knows each other. As a rule, the worse a person lives, the less desire he has to become better. Such people go about their days, at times trying to survive, and don’t know better than to absorb what they are told on TV, without analyzing what is said. And the task of Russian Propaganda television is to tell that it is not our system of power that is to blame for all the problems, but external enemies (including the United States with its LGBT sabotage). In Russia, gay people can be killed, raped or tortured with complete impunity, accusing them of corrupting society. But I must say that no matter what homophobia the Russian government tries to lead, the situation is still improving: people have the Internet, in which they do not see a single point of view anymore.
Let us hope that time and of course all the protests who try to open the eyes of your compatriots will change the situation to its better. I really admire that a young guy like you is fighting for his rights and the liberties of others. But now I would like to talk again about your activities as cam boy. How did you start as cam model? Who has had the idea, and how does it come? Where do you work?
For me, I’ve got the idea to do webcam shows as I searched for a solution to pay a 12’000 rubles apartment debt.
